Kerry Gets Small-Business Community Time To Speak Out on SBA Rule Changes

Washington, D.C. --  WASHINGTON, D.C. - SBA Administrator Barreto has agreed to a request from Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) to extend the comment period on a proposed rule regarding parity between the 8(a) Business Development and HUBZone programs.

"These are exceptionally intricate matters that require careful examination and consideration by small businesses," Sen. Kerry said. "Extending the comment period gives everyone, particularly those who support business development by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, a chance to weigh in on these critical issues."

Administrator Barreto has agreed to extend the comment period by 30 days.
